Experience and Qualifications
Founded in 1970, the VNA is the oldest and only nonprofit Home Health and Hospice provider in Indiana County, serving over 2700 residents each year. Affiliated with Indiana Regional Medical Center (IRMC), our nurses, therapists, social workers, and home health aides are all state-licensed professionals.
Additionally, we are affiliated with the only Board Certified Medical Director in Internal Medicine and Hospice and Palliative Medicine in the area, Dr. Stella Boron.
Our history, experience and expertise make the Visiting Nurse Association the premier Home Health and Hospice provider in the County!
Who pays for services?
In addition to Medicare and Medicaid, there are a number of insurances that may pay for your services including the Veterans Administration and long term care insurance. We also accept private pay for certain services. For your convenience, the VNA staff submits all insurance claims on your behalf.
Our Hopeful Hearts grief support and CareNet companionship services are offered free of charge. While they supplement the Home Health and Hospice services, they are also open to community members who qualify.
